Kerry Gleeson is the founder of the Institute for Business Technology (IBT), International. IBT is represented in Sweden, Norway, Denmark, The Netherlands, Switzerland, Belgium, France, Italy, Luxembourg, United Kingdom, Australia, New Zealand, Finland, Mexico, Brazil, Canada, The Caribbean, Ukraine, Venezuela, Singapore, Japan and the United States.
Mr. Gleeson worked in a variety of sales, marketing and management positions prior to 1983, when he and his Swedish wife, Jill, relocated the family to Stockholm. In Sweden, he established a marketing consulting firm and began work with a number of large financial institutions in Scandinavia.
He observed that his clients frequently could not make the time to rapidly implement the marketing programs he designed for them. To solve this, he developed a unique approach to workload management called the Personal Efficiency Program (PEP). The program was extensively tested throughout one of the largest financial institutions in Sweden (Svenska Handelsbanken) on its 5000 managers and employees.
Over the years, Mr. Gleeson has been retained by a number of the largest corporations in the world to address the issue of personal productivity and changing behavior. Unilever, Lloyds TSB Bank, General Motors, Philips Electronics, and hundreds more top companies are employing the techniques of the Personal Efficiency Program and the software applications designed around the concepts of PEP.
Mr. Gleeson formed the Institute for Business Technology in 1983 to market the Personal Efficiency Program and other services directed at increasing white-collar productivity. He has since established an international network of companies under the umbrella of IBT. IBT's international client list includes an impressive number of multinational companies and major financial institutions.
Hundreds of favorable articles have been written about Mr. Gleeson and his work in such publications as Success Magazine, Tom Peter's respected newsletter On Achieving Excellence, The Washington Post, The Wall Street Journal and The Financial Times. Articles by Mr. Gleeson have also appeared in management-oriented publications. Mr. Gleeson's is the author of two international best selling books The Personal Efficiency Program - How to Get Organized to Do More Work in Less Time, and The High-Tech Personal Efficiency Program - Organizing Your Electronic Resources to Maximize Your Time & Efficiency, both published by John Wiley & Sons. There are nearly one million of Mr. Gleeson's books in print in seventeen languages.
Mr. Gleeson has been a guest speaker of the Young President's Organization, the Junior Chamber International World Congress, and the Success Magazine Entrepreneurial Leadership Conference.
Mr. Gleeson and his family now live in Boca Raton, Florida.
